Old Clan New Clan

It was Kari's shift at the Pet store. She hated the job but knew she needed the money and she loved animals. A girl walked in. "Hello my name is Kari!" she said.

I had to go to the pet shop today because my parents were needing some food for the fish. I entered the store and saw the cashier, a pink haired young woman, probably around the twenty years of age.

"Hello, I am Shi. I am looking for some fish food. Could you tell me where it is please?"

Kari got her some fish food. "Anything else you might need?" she asked.

I smiled.

"Not really, thank you. I just need that for the family's fishes."

"I've never seen you here before um that will be $2.50 please." Kari said.

I gave her the money.

"It is no surprise, my family and I rarely go out, even more since the Masked Kage's ascension to power."

"He wasn't always like that he was my sensei actually." she said.

I looked at her.

"You knew that awful man?"

"He is not an awful man!" she yelled. "Sorry but he will always be that good person to me." she said.

Hearing that surprised me. If I was not polite, I would have spit on the floor.

"How can you say he is a good man? He enslaved the entire village and ruled as a tyrant, without pity for anyone. That is pure cruelty! The people trusted him, yet he betrayed the trust he had been given for his own, selfish purposes."

"Sorry I yelled at you but he wasn't like that it was maybe the Kage's deaths and he changed because of it like I did." she said.

"Didn't you hear? There were witnesses that saw him kill the Kages himself! That man was evil incarnate!"

Tears started to appear in my eyes.

"I know and the wittniss is a fellow friend of mine and the kages." she said. "Plus the brother tried to kill eachother first."

I turned around, crying.

"That doesn't excuse anything at all. He took away my brother. It has been six moths since we last heard of him."

"I am so sorry what was your brothers name?" she asked putting her hand on the girls shoulder

I kept on crying.

"Haidora"

"Haven't heard of him either." she said. "Hey why not go see a movie to get your mind off of it?" she said with a smile.

I turned, still in tears.

"See? That is why I say he was a bad man. He took away all of those who opposed him until he died, either by killing them, or worse..."

I couldn't finish. It was too hard to imagine.

She hugged the girl. "What's your name?" Kari asked.

"Yuri. Uchiha Yuri."

"Wait did you say Uchiha?" she asked.

I looked at her.

"Yes. My family is probably part of the last Uchiha that still exist."

"We can't let anyone know that ok you will be in danger." she said.

I wiped the tears from my face and took a proud stance.

"Let them come. I will not let anyone come near my family anymore."

"So want to go see a movie or anything Yuri?" Kari asked.

I looked at her.

"I barely know you. What tells me that you are not working for him? You seem to know a lot about him, maybe too much."

"Well he was my sensei and my cousin Ashley was his friend but what can I do to prove to you I am not a spy." she said.

I calmed down when I heard her say about Ashley. They did have some common traits.

"Very well. I am willing to trust you for now."

"Wait why so fast?" Kari asked.

"I know how kind Kage Ashley was. I must admit that you do share some traits with her too. I would have trusted her, so I guess I can try to do the same with you. But that won't change mi opinion on Wakitaro Saiken."
